Pine Lake

Pine Lake is one of only ten waters in King County managed with a seasonal fishing closure. Spring catch rates for trout are highest early in the season and decline as fish are harvested and as warmer water temperatures force trout to seek areas of colder refuge.

Issaquah Highlands Connector

The western trailhead branches off from the East Lake Sammamish Trail just north of the I-90 overpass. The trail is paved on its western side, and parallels the freeway, crossing Front St. near the freeway entrance.

Lake Sammamish Park

Lake Sammamish State Park is a 512-acre day-use park with 6,858-feet of waterfront on Lake Sammamish. The area around the lake was an important culture zone for local Native American tribes for centuries. The park provides deciduous forest and wetland vegetation for the enjoyment of visitors. A salmon-bearing creek and a great-blue-heron rookery are additional features.
